Bernie is an avid mountain hiker/climber . As he drives along the Northern
Corridor, his eyes are drawn to the highest peaks: the Sandias, Truchas
Peaks and Wheeler Peak.
Bernie's sense of adventure began early in life. "My father loved road
trips. As a kid, I remember spending just about every weekend exploring Taos
and Santa Fe and the Colorado / New Mexico border area. My sibs and I sat in
the back of my father's '68 VW microbus' while he drove us to yet another
strange and wonderful place."
Say's Bernie, "I never forget how lucky I am to be in New Mexico. It is
special and unique and I never take it for granted. There is always
something interesting to explore and to discover here."
