The South Capitol neighborhood is due south of the
Capitol Building. Building styles in this historic area are attributed
to the outside building supplies and tastes brought to Santa Fe via the
railroad:
Pueblo Revival,
Craftsman and
Victorian homes. Newer construction leans more toward SW contemporary.
Santa Feans celebrate food and there are many venues here:
Whole Foods,
Wild Oats,
Trader Joe's
, Back Street Bistro, Santa Fe Baking Company, Sage Bakehouse and
Vinaigrette et al. And food for the soul:
Body of Santa Fe,
CCA,
Armory for the Arts and
The
Children's Museum.
