The Village of Corrales is a bosque community that runs along the west side
of the Rio Grande River. It is an incorporated "island" bordered by
Albuquerque to the south, Rio Rancho to the west and Sandia Pueblo to the
east. The village has held onto its equine and and rural character as is
proven by the many horses, fields and large estates. Its residents enjoy
country living but are close to all big city amenities. Corrales is also a
very active art and music community. Many art galleries, shops and cafe's
dot the main road.
